Damsel In Defense Review

This review is all about the Damsel In Defense. Are you wondering if this MLM business is legit or just a scam? Do you want to know if it can help you earn some extra cash? Well, I suggest that you read this review in order to clear your doubts about it.

Product Overview

Company Name: Damsel In Defense

Price to Join: $99

My Rating: 6.8 out of 10.0

What is the Damsel In Defense?

Damsel In Defense is certainly different because of its product line. They sell self-defense products for women, which is something that is not normal for MLM companies.

Basically, they sell everything from pepper spray to t-shirts with warnings. They also offer family education books for raising the awareness of children. It is not surprising that the product selection is limited because of the niche that they have chosen.

In this review, I will take a closer look at this company and try to determine whether this is a scam or not. This is based on my honest research about it. I recommend that you read the entire review before thinking about joining this company.

How Does Damsel In Defense Work?

After a quick research, I found the compensation plan of Damsel In Defense. So here are the ways of earning money through this company.

RETAIL SALES

The company pays a commission of 25% on your sales when you join. You can earn 30% commission on your sales when you advance to the rank of Protege or higher.

When you make a sale through your website, the first purchase from the customer will give you 25% or 30% commission depending on your rank. If the customer keeps buying the products after that, then you will get a 20% commission each month.

LEVEL BONUSES

These bonuses are paid in the range of 1% to 4% depending on your rank. You earn level bonuses on the commissionable volume of the people in your downline.

You can earn these bonus for up to 4 levels deep, but to earn on more levels you have to reach the higher ranks. A Director or higher rank earns on all four levels.

This bonus depends on your rank, but you also need to generate $150 in personal commissionable sales during a rolling three month period.

More Information About Damsel In Defense

If you are not able to generate $150 in personal commissionable sales during a rolling three month period, then your downline will move upwards to your immediate upline.

In simple words, you will not be able to earn level bonuses or any other bonuses from your downline. You will have to build a new team after losing your earlier team because of not meeting the requirement.

TEAM BONUS

You have to reach the rank of Director or higher to earn this bonus. This pays you a percentage on the commissionable volume of each person in your team.

It is paid in the range of 2%  to 5% depending on your rank. Obviously, the higher ranks pay a higher percentage of this bonus.

GENERATIONAL BONUS

I will not go into detail, but I will try to explain the general idea behind this bonus. This bonus is paid on the team volume of a Director or higher rank.

The first Director or higher in your team is your first generation and you can earn on up to three generations. This bonus pays you 3% on each generation that you qualify for.

I must say that the compensation plan of the company is harsh for those who don’t meet the requirements consistently. You can lose your team if you fail to meet the requirement even once.

How Much Does It Cost to Join?

The starter kit that you can purchase when you join in Damsel In Defense costs for $99, which is not a lot of money.

It includes products, business cards, invites, order forms, hostess guides and much more. The value of the kit is much more than they charge for it because it has a lot of useful items that you can use to start your business.

They have only one kit so if you need more products, then you will have to buy the products directly from the company.

How Much Can I Earn?

Your earnings will depend on your skill level as well as your social connections. It is easier for someone with a lot of connections to succeed in this type of business model. When you have a lot of connections, you can build a team quickly and a lot of bonuses depend on your team.

As far as the products are concerned, they are going to be hard to sell.

I don’t think that you will get repeat sales from customers because most of the products are reusable. This is not the ideal scenario because you want to get repeat sales from most of your customers. The fact that you can lose your entire team if you fail to meet the requirement is also not a positive sign.

So I don’t think that most of the people who join will earn a full-time income through this company. In fact, most people will quit this business in the long run.

Are there Any Complaints?

Yes, and I have listed some of the major concerns below.

The hardest part of the job is getting people to take their safety seriously.

The compensation plan is commission based.

Bottom Line

In my opinion, Damsel In Defense is not a scam. They still offer some helpful ways on how you can earn at your leisure time.

On the other hand, I don’t think that the company has great products that would be easy to sell. But if you have the passion towards the products that they are offering then you can take a look at this company.

Nevertheless, I still leave the final decision in your hands. Good luck and choose wisely.

Pros

  • Teaches entrepreneurial skills
  • Good earning potential if done right

Cons

  • Climb the ranks to earn more commissions
  • Support can be improved

I know that you want to invest in Damsel In Defense because you are eager to find a new source of income. I also feel that you want to start having financial freedom.

But let me tell you that this type of business is not for everyone. If you don’t have the passion towards selling and recruiting then you may have a hard time with this one.

On the other hand, if you are still looking for a new source of income, then you can also take a look into my personal choice. My best suggestion would be through making your own online business with a support from community. Basically it is a modern way of making money. And it doesn’t require any selling or recruiting.

Right now, I am on my second year in this type of business and I am already enjoying the fruits of my labor. So, I want to share my success with you.

  1. I really like the fact that Damsel In Defense is a reasonable cost to join, pays reasonable commissions, and pays various bonuses.

However, it’s an MLM, and like all MLMs, it won’t be an easy business to build, and there are “terms and conditions” for payments, which is something I really hate.

In addition, they give you a heap of resources (business cards and invites, etc) that are really outdated methods, in my opinion, because we now live in a new “digital age”.

I guess the program can work for the right people, but with my experience of Network Marketing/MLM – there are far better ways of building a business, like Affiliate Marketing for example.

    Thanks for th review.
