Is Evolution Travel A Scam

Evolution Travel Review

What is Evolution Travel?

Evolution Travel is an MLM company that offers travel packages. They focus on selling the opportunity on the website. They claim to be a home-based travel business. It looks like that you can’t buy the travel packages that the company offers through the website, and you will have to contact a consultant to buy the travel packages.

The main idea behind companies like this one is to allow people to save money when they buy the travel packages. On the other hand, the travel consultants get an opportunity to participate in the compensation plan and earn money.

This company was founded in the year 2015 by David McCovy. It is true that this is not the first business that David has been involved in as he has done well in other businesses.

In this review, we will take a closer look at this company and try to determine whether this is a scam or not. This review is not biased so make sure that you read the entire review.

How does Evolution Travel work?

The compensation is not easy to understand, so you will have to pay some attention. Let us take a look at the ways of earning money through the compensation plan.

Travel Commissions: You get 80% commission on the travel booked by you. Your sponsor will get 10% commission when you book travel. This means that you will earn 10% on the travel bookings of consultants that you sponsor.
80% commission is really nice, but you need to remember that the 80% commission is paid on what the company earns and not on the entire travel booking amount. Still, it can be a big amount in cases where the amount of booking is really big.

Residual Commissions: The company places a certain amount each month into a pool. If you are at Executive or above ranks, then you can earn a share in the pool. The rank holders have a specified percentage in the pool depending on their rank, and the amount will be divided among the same rank holders equally.

Following are the ranks and the percentage of share they have in the pool.
Executive- 13%
Bronze- 14%
Silver- 20%
Gold- 12%
Platinum (1 and 2 Star)- 30%
3 Star Platinum and Up- 11%

If you are Executive then you will get a share in the 13% that has been set aside for Executive rank holders. It is clear that the Platinum rank holders will get the biggest share and earn the most from this pool.

Leadership Bonuses: You need to be a Gold or Platinum Consultant to earn Leadership Bonuses. The qualifications for becoming a Gold or Platinum Consultant are not easy to achieve at all. You will not only need to bring in other consultants into the company, but you will also have to ensure that they do well.

This bonus starts at $750 per month and goes as high as $100,000 as you advance in the ranks. You need to meet all qualifications by 9.00 pm Pacific Standard Time on the last day of the qualifying month to earn this bonus. You will also have to ensure that you hold the position until the 7th of the following month to receive the Leadership Bonus.

Following are the ranks and the amount of Leadership Bonus paid on them.
Gold = $750
Platinum = $1750
1 Star Platinum = $2500
2 Star Platinum = $5000
3 Star Platinum = $10,000
4 Star Platinum = $15,000
5 Star Platinum = $25,000
6 Star Platinum = $50,000
7 Star Platinum = $75,000
8 Star Platinum = $100,000

There are other incentives and bonuses that are paid to the higher rank holders only. The compensation plan is not as detailed as it should be. However, it is clear that the focus of the compensation plan is on recruiting. The qualifications that you need to reach the higher ranks depend on recruiting a lot of people. This is not a good sign considering the fact that each person has to pay a monthly fee as a consultant.

Overall, the compensation plan is very rewarding but only for those who recruit a lot of people.

How much does it cost to join?

You need to buy the Professional Travel Agent (PTA) package to become a consultant. It includes online training, support, access to wholesale resorts and condos, personal booking engine, replicated website, commission tracking center, Evo rewards and much more.

The cost of the PTA package is $49 at the time of writing this review. You will also have to pay $69.95 as a monthly administration fee. This means that you will end up spending more than $800 per year.

How much can I earn?

It is hard to say how much you will earn through this company. However, I don’t think that most people will earn much. The failure rate of MLM companies is high, and there is no reason to believe that this company will have a high success rate. You also have to consider the fact that there are monthly-fees involved. So, you will need to earn more than $70 per month to earn a profit.

When it comes to selling travel packages, most people lack the experience and don’t know where to get started. They have training to help you get started, but I don’t think that it will help you much. They will most likely push you to recruit the people that are close to you so that you can advance in the ranks. However, most people will refuse to join or fail in the long run.

In short, you can’t expect to earn a lot of money unless you are really good at this job. You will need to sell the travel packages and recruit people who do well. It is important that some of the people that you recruit succeed if you want to climb the ranks. It is not going to be easy, and your chances of earning a full-time income are really low.

Are there any complaints?

Yes, I have listed some complaints below.
You have to recruit other agents to work under you.
The company is very shady. I don’t trust them to pay accurately.

Conclusion

Evolution Travel is not a scam in my opinion, at least not yet. They focus too much on recruiting, and this can be a sign that they are a pyramid scheme. If they don’t change anything, then they can come under the radar of the FTC and be closed down. I don’t recommend joining them. Good luck.

Pros
90% commission paid to consultants on travel package sales
In partnership with Archer Travel

Cons
Can be a pyramid scheme
Too much focus on recruiting
High monthly costs
