Is The Laptop Entrepreneurs a Scam? An In Depth Review

Is the Laptop Entrepreneurs a Scam

The Laptop Entrepreneurs offer tools, training, resources and community to help you in succeeding online. It is a funnel for the Six Figure Mentors (SFM). The website doesn’t hide the fact that it is a funnel.

They provide a free 7-day video series to get your email address and promote SFM to you. SFM does not only offers training and resources, but it also provides the opportunity to sell high-ticket programs.

The people behind this program are Gerard Hall, Merrilee Watson, Sandrine Hecq and Christopher Hall. All of them are digital consultants of SFM. They have been working with SFM since 2014. I like the fact that they are open about promoting SFM instead of trying to hide it.

This review will clear your doubts about this program so that you can make the right decision. We will take a look at the training, tools, resources, etc. and try to determine if the price tag of the program is right or not.

Product Overview

Company Name: The Laptop Entrepreneurs

My Rating: 6.9 out of 10.0

How Does The Laptop Entrepreneurs Work?

In short, SFM offers training that teaches you about making money online, and you can make money by selling the training to other people. MOBE followed a similar business model, but now it has been shut down by the FTC.

It is important to note that SFM offers a free affiliate program while MOBE never offered a free affiliate program.

Now, it is time to go into the details. SFM looks like a step-by-step marketing program, which teaches people about earning money online. The fact is that SFM focuses on promoting itself. The training is geared towards making you promote the program.

You will start with the Student Access Membership. It will provide you an introduction to making money online, live event recordings, done-for-you sales pages, affiliate links, funnels, banners and support. The next step after the Student Access Membership is to upgrade to the Essential Membership.

The Essential Membership has step-by-step training videos, hosting, live coaching calls, forum access, step-by-step marketing blueprint and much more. It also gives you a higher percentage of commission. Elite Add-On is also there, and it will give you higher commissions and access to exclusive webinars and system setup certification.

SFM unlike MOBE doesn’t limit you to promote the memberships that you have bought. Basically, you can promote all or most of the membership levels. However, the benefit of having a higher membership level is that you will earn higher commissions. As a free affiliate, you will miss out on the SFM membership monthly subscription commission.

More Information About The Laptop Entrepreneurs

You can also earn on your 2nd tier membership referrals. This is multi-level marketing and that explains the focus on recruiting. You will surely be encouraged to buy the high-ticket memberships to earn more commissions. There are DEA high-ticket products that will cost you a lot of money. DEA stands for Digital Experts Academy, and these products also offer training.

You can earn 5% to 10% commission on the DEA products depending on your membership level. Free affiliates can’t earn by promoting the DEA products. These products have a high price, so even a 5% or 10% commission will be high.

The program offers plenty of tools for creating landing pages, tracking, creating covers and more. The tools also allow you to earn a commission monthly if you are able to promote them well. You will earn for as long as your referral keeps using a tool.

In short, there are a lot of products and tools that you can promote to earn a commission from SFM.

You will have support from an SFM business consultant if you need answers. Support is also provided through emailing support tickets and live chat. The SFM business consultant will surely try to convince you to upgrade.

The base of SFM and The Laptop Entrepreneurs is affiliate marketing. While affiliate marketing is a great way of earning money online, the training is just too focused on promoting SFM. I am not denying that the training is good, and it can allow you to earn money online. However, you will need to work hard and have realistic expectations.

How Much Does It Cost to Join?

You can become an affiliate of The Laptop Entrepreneurs for free, but you will not get any training as an affiliate. Here are the different memberships and their prices.

Student Access: $25 per month (30-day free trial)

Essential Membership: $297 enrollment fee and $97 per month

Elite Membership: $2,500

DEA Silver: $3,000

DEA Gold: $8,000

DEA Platinum: $11,000

DEA Black: $20,000

These are the memberships, and you will have to pay additional money for the tools. It is clear that you will have to spend a lot of money as the memberships are expensive.

How Much Can I Earn?

I don’t think that the training is great, but it can allow you to make money. You will have to spend a lot to get enough information for getting results. The Student Access is not enough for a newbie. The higher memberships come with high prices, so you will have to take the risk for having a chance of earning money.

You will have to pay monthly for the Essential Membership. So, you will keep losing money until you use the training to earn money.

However, it is not normal to get good results quickly, and it may take several months. The training doesn’t focus on building a website and getting organic traffic, which is one of the best ways to do affiliate marketing.

The blogging basics are there, but the basics aren’t enough to ensure the success of a newbie. You may think about promoting the memberships or the tools, but it will be very hard to do so. The expensive memberships are really hard to promote especially with the training that you get.

I had high hopes, but your chances of success don’t look great with this program. Only a few people will earn a profit after working hard and a little bit of luck.

Are there Any Complaints?

Yes, and I have listed some of the major concerns below.

Their forum was so quiet, wasn’t very active nor was their Facebook page.

Like other network marketing companies, they peddle average training products for ridiculous prices.

Bottom Line

The Laptop Entrepreneurs is not a scam. However, I can’t promise that SFM will not get into trouble later on. It may get into trouble because of the MLM model and the focus on promoting itself.

The training is just not worth the price, so I will not recommend this program. People should buy a program for the training and not because it allows them to earn high commissions by promoting it.

There is nothing wrong with earning high commissions, but most people have unrealistic expectations, and they aren’t able to earn enough. I hope you listen to my advice, but the final decision is yours. Good luck.

Pros

  • Plenty of membership choices

Cons

  • High Ticket program
  • Support can be improved

I know that you want to invest in The Laptop Entrepreneurs because you want to have an alternative source of income. I also feel that you want to make a change in your life.

But let me tell you that this type of business is not for everyone. If you don’t have the patience and perseverance to fulfill your goals, then you might not succeed. Plus you have to have great support that will guide you throughout the process.

On the other hand, if you are still looking for a source of income that can change your life, then you can also give time and take a look into my personal choice. My best suggestion would be through making your own online business with a support from community. Basically it is a modern way of making money. What I like about it is that it doesn’t focus on selling and recruiting.

Right now, I am on my second year in this community and I am already harvesting the fruits of my labor. So, I want to share the things that I did so you can also follow and benefit from it.
