Company Name: Maelle

My Rating: 6.7 out of 10.0

What is the Maelle?

Maelle is a multi-level marketing company that is in the pre-launch phase and they are claiming that the company will launch soon in early 2018.

This is a controversial company even before its launch and you will know all about it in this article. They are focused on beauty products and one of their founding mentors has made a website showcasing the products. Surprisingly, the official website of the company doesn’t showcase the products or talk about the opportunity at all. They only mention that they will be launching soon and there is no additional information about it.

In this review, I will take a closer look at this company and try to find out if this is a scam or not. This is based on my honest research about it. I recommend that you read the entire review before thinking about joining this company.

How Does Maelle Work?

Before we dive into their compensation plan, it is important to know why they are a controversial company. They are already in pre-launch phase since June 2016. People where encouraged to recruit others and join the company. Many people did buy the kits and also made sure that they recruit others to have an advantage when the company finally launches.

But then, when the company was launched, there were many problems with the opportunity. They were sued by Younique and Younique won. As a result, Maëlle was banned from selling or recruiting for 5 months.

A lot of distributors lost their money because they had unsold stock which was now useless. Although the company was banned for only 5 months, even after more than a year they still haven’t re-launched. This is something that hurts my trust in this company.

Now let us take a look at some of the ways of earning through the compensation plan.

RETAIL SALES

The retail royalties are paid in the range of 25% – 30% and the personal sales bonus is paid for extraordinary personal sales. The personal sales bonus pays an additional 5% – 10% bonus on retail sales. So you can earn as much as 40% commission on your retail sales.

FIRST LEVEL ROYALTIES

You need to generate personal retail points and sponsor a qualified  Mentor to earn first level royalties. Personal retail points are just the sum of points assigned to all commissionable products sold by you in a given month. A qualified Mentor is someone who has at least 50 personal retail points in the current month.

The qualifications are not hard to achieve if you and your sponsored Mentor are serious. You will earn 1% on all first level royalties if you qualify for this bonus.

BRANCH ROYALTIES

The company pays 2% – 3% on all branch royalties. Branch royalties are basically paid on your second level. So it is paid on the royalties of the people who are sponsored by the people that you personally sponsor.

GENERATION ROYALTIES

These royalties are paid when someone in your downline graduates. A person can graduate by reaching the rank of Gold Elite or higher. Once someone graduates and becomes a new generation, you can earn 1% – 7% of all commissionable products sold by his generations after retail royalties have been paid.

The compensation plan is not much different from other MLM companies. Basically, you have to reach the higher ranks to earn more bonuses.

How Much Does It Cost to Join?

The cost of joining in Maelle is $89 and you will get the Maëlle Beauty Starter Kit by paying that amount.

You will also need to generate 50 personal retail points every three months to remain active so also keep that in mind. You may lose the money that you spend on the starter kit if the company keeps having issues with the re-launching.

How Much Can I Earn?

If you join in Maelle right now, I don’t think that you will earn any money until the company re-launches. They are claiming to re-launch soon, but you will not be able to do anything if they delay it further. There is no guarantee that the company will not face any more lawsuits and the products are going to be great.

Most people fail in multi-level marketing companies, but if this company doesn’t re-launch almost everyone will lose money.

The future of this company seems to be very uncertain so it doesn’t look like that your earnings will be great. There are companies that have been around for years and people are still struggling to earn through them. This company is yet to prove itself so I wouldn’t expect much from it.

There are so many things that could go wrong after they re-launch and their past doesn’t help them at all. So I don’t think that you should expect to make a lot of money through this company.

Are there Any Complaints?

No, I could not find any complaints since the company is yet to re-launch. But I have a few concerns that I have listed below.

The company is about to enter a competitive market.

It is challenging to build a strong downline.

Bottom Line

I think that it is too early to say if Maelle is a scam or not as the company is not yet launched. Although, I am not a fan of MLM companies and they didn’t do much to earn my trust.

On the other hand, they still offer some helpful information on how you can start your own business. Nevertheless, I still leave the final decision in your hands. Good luck and choose wisely.

Pros

  • Teaches entrepreneurial skills
  • Good earning potential if done right

Cons

  • Climb the ranks to earn more
  • Support can be improved

I know that you want to invest in Maelle because you are eager to find a new source of income. I also feel that you want to have financial freedom.

But let me tell you that this type of business is not that easy. It requires motivation, patience and great support in order to succeed and achieve your goals.

On the other hand, if you are still looking for a new source of income, then you can also take a look into my personal choice. My best suggestion would be through making your own online business with a support from community. Basically it is a modern way of making money. And it doesn’t require any selling or recruiting.

Right now, I am on my second year in this type of business and I am already enjoying the fruits of my labor. So, I want to share my success with you.

  1. I have no problem with direct sales companies as I have done them myself in the past but this doesn’t sound like one that I would take part in by any means. To me it simply sounds like they are just a bad company to take part in, plan and simple. Overall, this seems like a money grab and not one where selling the product is the main purpose but recruitment takes priority… that makes this shady to me.

    • Actually, Maelle is a legit company. But it still depends on your own personal capabilities if you will be successful in this type of business.
