My Rating: 6.5 out of 10.0

What is the Plunder Design?

Plunder Design is a multi-level marketing company that sells unique jewelry. I am not an expert, but some of the products of the company look appealing. They are reasonably priced as well unlike some other companies.

They offer products in the categories of earrings, necklaces, pendants, bracelets, add ons and many others. The customers can also customize the jewelry that they buy, but the customization seems to be limited to an image or a text. This company was founded in the year 2013 by Hillary Adams.

In this review, I will take a closer look at this company and try to determine whether this is a scam or not. This is based on my honest research about it. I recommend that you read the entire review before thinking about joining this company.

How Does Plunder Design Work?

Without wasting any time, let us take a look at the ways of earning money through the compensation plan.

RETAIL SALES

You can earn commission on retail sales based on your monthly personal commissionable volume and your rank. In the beginning, you will earn 20% base retail commission. When you advance to the rank of Posh Consultant, you will earn 25% base retail commission.

Finally, after reaching the rank of Stellar Consultant or higher, you will start earning 30% base retail commission.

Basically, you can earn base retail commission in the range of 20% to 30%. There is also the super retail bonus that is paid in the range of 2% to 6%. You will need $1,200 in personal commissionable volume in a calendar month to earn the super retail bonus. The percentage of super retail bonus will depend on your rank.

PERSONAL TEAM & OVERRIDE BONUS

These bonuses are paid on the downline commissionable volume of the people on various levels in your team. There are levels like level 1, level 2 and so on. Level 1 includes the people that you recruit and the level 2 includes the people that are recruited by consultants on level 1. This continues as more and more levels are added in your downline.

You can earn these bonuses in the range of 2% to 8% depending on your rank.

When you qualify for the higher ranks, you will earn a higher amount of these bonuses as well as earn on more levels. You can earn these bonuses on up to 6 levels deep.

GROUP GENERATION BONUS

When someone in your downline qualifies for the rank of 1 Star Peep or higher, then you may earn the group generation bonus. This bonus is paid on the 1 Star Peep or higher generations and their teams.

You can earn this bonus for up to 4 generations deep. It is paid in the range of 3% to 4% based on your rank. The higher ranks pay on more generations.

RANK ADVANCEMENT BONUS

This bonus is paid when you achieve a rank for the first time. It is paid in the range of $100 to $10,000 depending on the rank that you achieve. I know that $10,000 is a lot of money, but it is going to be extremely hard to reach the rank required for earning this amount.

The main issue that I have with the compensation plan is the high qualifications. There are qualifications related to your team as well as your personal sales.

I think that a lot of people will struggle to meet the qualifications consistently. The starting commission on retail sales is not great as well. I think that the compensation plan will be too complicated and demanding for most people.

How Much Does It Cost to Join?

The cost of joining in Plunder Design is just $99, which is an affordable amount. The starter kit contains a few products, catalogs, order forms, and other necessary business supplies.

You can also choose to autoship products, but that is not necessary to become a part of the company.

How Much Can I Earn?

I don’t have great earning expectations from this company even though there is no doubt that you can make money through it. The problem is that this is a multi-level marketing company and the majority of people have a challenging time in MLM companies.

The products are certainly reasonably priced and attractive, but that is not enough to ensure your success.

The high qualifications will become a problem when you try to qualify for the higher ranks. It is normally difficult to qualify for the higher ranks and this company has made it even harder than many MLM companies.

Their Income Disclosure Statement for the year 2016 also states that less than 12% consultants earned more than $1,000 in that year. 24% of the consultants didn’t earn any money from this company in the year 2016.

It is clear from the compensation plan and the Income Disclosure Statement that most people will be disappointed after joining this company. Some people who are really great at selling and especially recruiting may be able to earn a full-time income.

Are there Any Complaints?

Yes, and I have listed some of the major concerns below.

The earnings are most likely going to be disappointing.

The high qualifications will lead to problems.

Bottom Line

In my opinion, Plunder Design is not a scam. They still offer some helpful information that you can use to build your own business.

On the other hand, you must have the passion towards the products offered and also the business plan in order to succeed. If not, you may find it overwhelming. Nevertheless, I still leave the final decision in your hands. Good luck and choose wisely.

Pros

  • Teaches entrepreneurial skills
  • You can work at your home

Cons

  • Need to climb the ranks to earn more
  • Building a solid team can be a challenge

I know that you want to join in Plunder Design because you are already tired of not earning that much from your day time job. I also feel that you already want to have financial freedom.

But let me tell you that this type of business is not for everyone. If you don’t have the passion towards selling and recruiting then you may find it difficult.

On the other hand, if you are still looking for a new source of income, then you can also take a look into my personal favorite choice. My best suggestion would be through making your own online business with a support from community. Basically it is a modern way of making money. What I like about it is that it doesn’t require any selling or recruiting.

Right now, I am on my second year in this type of business and I am already enjoying the fruits of my labor. So, I want to share my success with you.

  1. Great review of Plunder Design! You have weighed out all the options and thoroughly explained every in and out of the business!

Although the video presentation was precise, I learned that I would have to have four parties in just one month, selling a minimum of $2,000! That seems pretty steep and a lot of work–and for very little earned on commissions.

I thank you for your in-depth review and appreciate your pros and cons of this business, but I will pass.

Thank you for reviewing this business model for people to better understand this company before making their decisions! All the best to you and your writing!

    • I am happy that I have helped you. Just let me know if you have more questions about Plunder design MLM business.
