What is the CashCrate

Are you also asking yourself, what is the Cashcrate? Are you confused if CashCrate is legit? Do you want to know if you can earn extra cash by trying new company offers? Here is my honest review on whether CashCrate is a scam or not.

Before we jump into the review proper, let me say that I have always been making reviews about various survey sites. I made this as a habit because I want to share with you my experiences about these kinds of programs. I hope that this will help you learn more about it. By the way, if you want to start another way to earn online, check out my review on the #1 recommended work at home opportunity.

What is CashCrate?

CashCrate iWhat is the CashCrates a one-stop site that offers extra cash in exchange of doing simple tasks online like surveys and offers. It has been around since 2006 and has over 2 million members world wide. Actually there is no fees in joining the company. Basically you are paid for your opinion towards products and services that you try for free.

Maybe you are wondering, why are you paid for using a product that you have not purchased? It is because various companies are looking for new users to generate opinions from them.

In this review, I will take a closer look into Cashcrate and determine whether this is a scam or not. I suggest that you read the entire review before joining this survey site.

How does CashCrate Works?

Like any other survey sites, Cashcrate offers a wide variety of payment for every tasks you do. But before you can start to earn, you should first check the confirmation email that they sent you. After that they will give you your first $1.00 just for confirming your registration. After you sign up for free, you will be automatically directed to your dashboard page wherein you will see the ways on how you can earn. What is the CashCrate

Here are the ways on how you can earn in CashCrate:

1. Try New Offers

What is the CashCrate

The most common way that you can earn in CashCrate is through trying offers. You can see the lists of offers given under the offers tab. So if you want to complete one, just click on the offer that you want.

It is required that you complete the offer up to the very end and you must provide 100% truthful information. When you are finished, click the submit button and your task is already done.

The average offer payment ranges from $0.20 up to $1.00. There are also higher pay off that ranges from $3.00 up to even $20.00. Seems convincing right? But If you really read the information below each offer you will find out that the higher the pay offs, the more information they need.

2. Take Surveys

What is the CashCrate

You can also get paid by taking their daily survey every 24 hours. The average pay for the survey is $0.50 – $2.00 with estimated time of completion of 10-20 minutes. There are also top surveys that can pay you up to $7.00 but of course have longer time to finish.

Compared to the offers, taking survey is safer because you don’t have to give your important information. However the downside for this is that it takes many times before you qualify for a survey. Most especially if the one you are trying to answer is the higher paying surveys.

On the other hand, you can just answer the lower paying surveys. But you will need to do more of it to make a bigger money.

3. Get Referrals

Another way of earning in Cashcrate is through referrals. Basically the program has two levels. Initially when you invite a friend you will get 20% of what he/she makes. Aside from that you also get 10% of what their referrals make. Let us have an example.

What is the CashCrate

When you invite a friend, you will get 20% of his income, so if he makes his first $20, you will get $4 commission. Plus you will get a bonus of $3 from your friend earning $10. When he invites another 2 referrals you will get 10% of what they are making. So it will be an additional $1 form each referral. So in total you will earn $9 by just referring one friend.

Pretty good money right? However if you would just think it more deeply, It would take you a lot of effort before you can earn this referral money. This are just the best things that you can get if everything will happen according to plan.

How Much Can I Earn?

What is the CashCrate

Let us have a small computation on what can be your potential earning. This is just a hypothetical situation okay? Assuming that you make Cashcrate as your full time job. So maybe you can work 8 hours or 480 minutes a day. You can take more or less 24 surveys. If you multiply it with the average survey payment of $0.50, you will get $12.

Let us also add the offers and referrals that you will make. Assuming that you have completed 3 offers for $1.00 each and you have invited 1 referral that earned $20 for that day. You will get an additional $3+$4 in earning.

So if we sum it all up: $12 + 3 +4 that’s a total of $19 in a day!

If you think about it, it is still lesser compared to your income when you work on a minimum wage.

On the other hand, it is still a good money if you are thinking of using it as an extra source of income and it is an instant extra cash.

How Can I Get Paid?

If you asking on how you are gonna get paid in Cashcrate then it depends on your location and membership status. So if you are a bronze member then you can choose between Dwolla or by Check. Dwolla is basically the same with Paypal and is only available for USA members only. On the other hand, if you are a silver member, you can choose from the 4 options they have which includes Dwolla, Check, Direct Deposit and Paypal.

By the way bronze members are those who have less than 50 active referrals and earns less than $500 in lifetime earnings while silver members are those who have more than 50 active referrals and more than $500.

Are there Cashcrate Complaints?

Like any other money making programs, there is always a limitation. And that is what everybody should be careful of. So, here is the major concern that I have about Cashcrate.

Hard to Qualify for Surveys

Even though there are plenty of surveys that you can complete, it is still not guaranteed that you will be able to finish it successfully. It is because survey sites like cashcrate are strict when it comes to demographics. If you don’t match with what they are looking for then you will be disqualified.

Bottom Line

If you are still confused if Cashcrate is a scam or not, then let me tell you, Cashcrate is legit. Although the programs are great and has a high potential, you would definitely need to spend much time and hard work before you see results.

And sometimes even if you give that much effort, the payout is still not big to earn you a living. I believe that we should not work harder instead work smarter.

Nevertheless, it is still a good way if you want to earn an instant extra cash.

Is there other way to Earn Online?

I know that you want to try Cashcrate because you are hoping that it can give be a good source of extra income. I know that you are eager to find a legit way to earn more money to help you pay your bills and expenses. Unfortunately, this is not the answer to your problem.

Actually, I was also in the same situation as yours before. I thought that survey sites is the answer to my financial problems. But I realized that the earnings that I can get is not worth it. I also got discouraged about it because even if I work more hours per day,  I still can’t get the extra earnings that I desire.

Now, your next question is, how can you really make money? My best suggestion would be through building your own online business. Basically it is a modern way of earning at home. It may seem complicated  but there are already training programs online that can help you learn more about it.

Right now, I am on my tenth month in this program and I am already enjoying the fruits of my labor. So, I want to share my success with you.

  1. Thank you for your analysis of Cashcrate and saving me the time and aggravation of trying it out myself. You have done a nice job of asking the questions and responding to why a person should or should not spend time earning money in this way. Perhaps it would work for someone unable to get out of the house and work a regular job, but at a low rate of return.

  2. Nice explaination on what the Cashcrate is all about. It seems that someone can surely make a bit of money with the variety of things it has to offer, but certainly not enough to make a living.

I even like the idea that the survey’s are boken down into categories that seem real (they won’t take up 20 minutes to take and then tell you that you are not qualified.

Thanks for the information and the link to better money making opportunities.

    1. One major turn off for paid surveys is that it takes so much time before you will know that you are disqualified in the survey you are taking. For example, you take a 20 minutes survey and at the 10 minutes mark, you will know that you can’t go through with the survey. That’s pretty frustrating right? Although you are still given some points for starting the survey, it is still not enough to compensate the time and work you have done for that survey.

That’s why my last question was, why earn pennies in paid surveys if you can earn dollars in online marketing. If you like to learn more about online marketing just scroll up and click the link above.

  3. I was just going to say after doing the quick math in my head that you would always be making less than minimum wage no matter how much time you spent doing just stuff with Cash Crate. Then I saw your little equation at the bottom and was glad that you included that. Especially for doing surveys, such a time waster. But hey, if you pop in and do a few little tasks each day while you’re waiting fo the bus or something, it could amount to a gift card a few times a year right? That’s worth it to me, but certainly not for a full replacement income from home or anything.

    1. Hi there! I included the computation of how much you can really earn if you spend 8 hours a day doing the tasks and surveys in cashcrate. In that way, we will realize that it is not worthy of our time and effort. Although I agree with you about some of cashcrate’s incentive. Some of the gift cards that you can get in cashcrate is worth it especially in christmas time. However like what you said, it is not enough to be a full replacement income for your home and family.

  4. Hello there John , interesting review as I am always looking for new productions.

They are active from 2006 , that adds some trust and they are not charging any fees.It becomes exciting.

They include all the classical ways to make some extra cash online , surveys , ads , referrals. But I have to agree with your conclusion , unfortunately.

That participation is not paying much.I am member in various surveys and alike websites and I make some pennies or a few dollars per month. But I never tried it full time. But for me it is not worth it.I can spend my time somewhere else and do something that matters.

These opportunities although legit do not offer a true potential to turn into a business.

P.S and you never can master the surveys applications , most of the times I am kicked out due to demographics and other reasons.

What is your very favourite survey site?

Thank you for the heads up on this one and for a nice read.Honest review

    1. Hi there my friend! I totally agree with everything you said about cashcrate. Actually I have tried swagbucks and inboxdollars in the past. I have done surveys on my spare time and sometimes If I am bored I do it all day. But as what I always say, It is hard to earn the initial minimum payout. And the same as you, I am always disqualified in the survey because of some demographic factors.

Fortunately, I learned affiliate marketing. It is also a home based business that has a higher potential of earning compared to just answering surveys. I am just on my second month of training from wealthy affiliate (the free program I use) but I already learned many things. I am really excited on what the upcoming months can happen to my journey.

  5. Hello there,

I have not used CashCrate before, but it seems like a lot of work for not much return. Most of the surveys are only $3.00 per hour and that is only if you work complete them in the recommended time.

I would have rated it less than 3 stars because it just seems like a waste of time.

    1. HI there Alex! Yes you are right, the surveys take so much of your time but gives you little payoff. And most of the time, it is hard to qualify to a certain survey because of some demographic information. I rated it 3 starts because I appreciate their effort to promote working at home as a new way of living. However their offers and surveys are just to limited for anyone to earn something big.

  6. I myself have tried many of these websites and have been greatly disappointed. After the promise of a big payout it turns out you don’t qualify anymore. I’ve heard from other people that basically by the time they disqualify you, they’ve already gathered all the information they needed from you. So if that really is the case, it seems to be a scam. Not saying CashCrate does this, but I’ve heard some of these survey websites practice that. I agree that there are better ways to make money online like creating your own business. That is time much better spent. Have you found any other legitimate ways to make money online that isn’t a waste of time?

    1. Hi there! Like you, I am also disappointed with these survey sites. However it is just now that I heard that survey sites just get valuable information from you and disqualify you immediately in the middle of the process. It can happen, it may not. No one knows. But one thing is for sure, survey sites is not worthy of your time.
About your question on legitimate ways to make money online, I have one that I highly recommend if you really want to start your online business. It is through blogging. It is already trend now a days to use blogging as a way to earn money. And I learned all of this in Wealthy Affiliate. Feel free to check out my review about it.

  7. Thanks for your honest review of Cashcrate. I gave up on these kinds of make money sites a long time ago.

Like you mentioned, they are very time consuming. My daughter-in-law spent a week filling out surveys to get enough money to buy our grandson a birthday present. She did it, but it took forever and she was bored to tears in the process.

I think these kinds of programs might be better suited for people who live where a little money goes a long ways.

Your #1 Passive Income Generator is by far a better alternative.

    1. What’s up?

It’s my pleasure to give you the information I know about Cashcrate. I have spent time in learning the ins and out of cashcrate so I can deliver a much more valuable review. I am sorry for your daughter in law. It would be better if that time you have already read this review. But it’s okay atleast we learn a lesson that not all money making ways online are really earning you enough money.

I am glad that you have checked my #1 passive income generator. If you have any more questions about wealthy affiliate, feel free to comment back in here and ask me. I would be glad to assist you.

  8. Hello

l tried cash crate some time ago when l was getting started online, what a waste of time.
Trying the offers was not better either, felt it needed too long, some demanding personal info which we are all not always ready to reveal online.
The surveys were even more useless for me, l live in Europe and most of surveys are more for USA.
No l`d not advise anyone to join cash-crate,there are better ways to make money online.
    Thanks for publishing this.

    1. HI there! I am glad that you shared your experience about cashcrate. You are right, the offers asks so much information from you and sometimes takes also your credit or debit card number. On the other hand, most of the surveys are hard to qualify to. In a glimpse cashcrate can be an extra income generator but if you dig in it deeper, you will realize that it is definitely a waste of time.

Good thing that you mentioned that there are better ways to make money online. If you want to know my #1 recommendation, check out my review about it.

  9. Well,

I guess it’s good that CashCrate is a legitimate opportunity, but it doesn’t look like there’s any real earning potential in it. I guess it might work for people who just want to make a few extra bucks.. But I think there’s probably a better way to spend one’s time. I really don’t put much trust in all of these survey-like product-tester businesses, this review confirms my distrust.

    1. Hi Bryan! I agree with you that Cashcrate won’t give you a real earning potential that can make you a living. There are better ways out their that is more worthy of your time and effort. Just like online marketing or affiliate marketing. Basically it is a modern day salesman wherein you will become the middle person between the customers and the companies selling a product.

Actually I am also new in affiliate marketing and I have so much to learn, Good thing is I joined a university that taught me the ins and out of building your own website and how you can make money in it. Check out my review about Wealthy Affiliate and learn the opportunities that is offered to you with starting membership that is free.

  10. Dear John Rico,

I have encountered Cashcrate before. I was surprised to hear you mention it is another one of those Take Surveys for Cash online websites. By the way, Take Surveys For Cash website is a online scam. Have you heard about them? How about UserTesting? Toluna? I highly agree that Cashcrate is legit as much as UserTesting and Toluna claim to be. However, I do not like wasting precious time on a survey that promises to pay big but so discouraged if I do not qualify for it due to them searching for specific demographics to be considered eligible to be presented with the Survey, Take It, Submit, and Earn the Money that is due for your time/efforts.

Have you encountered InboxDollars, SwagBucks, or MintVine before? How about Panda Research and Pinecone Research before?

Thanks in advance for your responses. 🙂

Wishing you all the best with your online success above and beyond the horizon,

    1. Hi there! It is really frustrating to start a survey and eventually disqualified throughout the answering process. I have had several times where it happened to me when I used to join survey sites. Yes, I have heard Inboxdollars and Swagbucks. I think all of them are legit survey sites however it doesn’t really pay that much compared to their initial promise that you will earn extra cash. That’s why I have searched for another online job that is worthy of my time. And I learned Wealthy Affiliate. It is very much worthy of your effort and time because after you build your foundation, success will surely follow.
