Before we jump into the review proper, let me point out that I have always been making reviews about various internet marketing programs. I made this as a passion  because I want to impart to everyone my knowledge and experience towards this systems. What is the DotComSecrets X?

what is the dotcomsecrets x?

DotComSecrets X is a program that helps people in making money online. The person behind this program is Russell Brunson, who is a successful internet marketer.

Russell Brunson has created many other products and he owns a company by the name DotComSecrets.com. There is no shortage of internet marketing gurus, but Russell tries to differentiate his program by charging a very low price for the first 14 days.

In this review, I will take a closer look at DotComSecrets X and try to determine whether this is a scam or not. This review is completely unbiased and based on my research. I recommend that you read the entire review before thinking about joining this system.

How Does DotComSecrets X Works?

You can start by paying for the trial version. The trail version is a 14 day coaching program. The problem with this approach is that you only get one lesson per day.

The 14 day trial version will require you to register for an autoresponder. Autoresponders are useful, but Russell wants you to register for a specific program known as Pure Leverage. Russell is the co-owner of Pure Leverage and this program will not work if you do not register.

You may have to spend more money on buying solo ads and GVO hosting plan. Solo ad is a one-time email advertisement that is sent by some internet marketers to their list in exchange for payment.

Solo ads are expensive and they do not guarantee you earnings. The GVO hosting plan is not compulsory, but it teaches you how to make a website and if you do not join for the GVO hosting plan, then you have to build a website on your own.

In short, DotComSecrets X is about earning money through email marketing. And email marketing is a great way to make money.

The problem is that you will be promoting Russell’s products instead of the products of your own choice. The business model works and there is no doubt about it. The training is also good, but I do not like the upsells.

How Much Does it Cost to Join?

You pay $1 for the 14 day coaching program and after that you pay $47 per month. You will also have to pay for the autoresponder and the solo ads. The autoresponder costs $54.40 per month. The solo ads will cost you at least $200 per month. If you choose the GVO hosting plan, then you will have to spend at least $9.97 per month.

The total cost will be more than $300 per month and there are a lot of upsells. The cost is too high in my opinion.

How Much Can I Earn?

It is always difficult to predict the earnings when it comes to internet marketing. And there is not much information available online about the earnings of those who have joined DotComSecrets X.

However I was still able to get some information from them so here it goes.

DotComSecrets X does not really teach you something that has not been taught before. You can find some of the training for free online.

money

There is no doubt that you can make money through this program, but you may have to spend more money than your earnings. I have read a review of a person who actually tried this program and he said that he lost more money than he made.

If one person had a bad experience, that does not mean that everyone will suffer the same fate, but I can’t ignore the fact that he lost more money than he made.

After considering everything, it is clear that some people can indeed make money from DotComSecrets X and they can earn a thousand dollars or more per month.

The problem is that most people will barely make any money or even lose their investment.

Are there Any Complaints?

Yes, and I have listed some of the major concerns below.

PLENTY OF UPSELLS

There are plenty of upsells offered in DotComSecrets X. I know that they aim to help you learn about online marketing but it just promotes more expenses.

Honestly, I hate upsells. I mean, if a program really thinks that they are worth it, they should be transparent in the fees that you need to pay.

Bottom Line

The truth is that I cannot declare that DotComSecrets is a scam because there is no evidence that this is a scam. The training works even if it benefits only some people.

In spite the fact that DotComSecrets X is legit, I am not going to recommend this to you. There are many drawbacks related to this program.

The training is not something extraordinary. There are a lot of upsells. You cannot move forward according to your wish and you have to wait till the end to get the full training. Russell teaches you to sell his products and you cannot promote other products.

With all of that being said, I leave the final decision in your hands. Good luck and choose wisely.

Pros

  • Teaches the Basics of Online Marketing

Cons

  • Have Upsells
  • May Not be Suitable for All

Is there Other Way To Earn Online?

I know that you want to join in DotComSecrets X because you want to learn a way on how to work at home. I also feel that you already want to get rid of your bully boss and start your own business.

Actually, I also felt the same way as you before. I thought that if I just join a training program for free, then it is enough to make me a living. But I realized that support and community is far way more important when it comes to online marketing.

Now, your next question is, how can you really make money online? My best suggestion would be through making your own online business with a support from community. Basically it is a modern way of making money. And this will enable you to enjoy your working time at home.

Basically, you will earn by just following your passion and sharing your thoughts about it to other people.

Right now, I am on my first year in this community and I am already enjoying the fruits of my labor. So, I want to share my success with you.

  1. Thank for the advice, I won’t fall into that scam now. I am a member of Wealthy Affiliate and I can tell you that it is hard work running a website. Everyone thinks that once you design it, all these people are going to fly out of nowhere and go to your site. The truth is, you have to market. That’s just my take on the situation. Wealthy Affiliate si definitely the best real program – but it does take work.

    Cheers!

    • I somehow agree with you Brad. Although DotComSecrets X offers some helpful information, a community is far way more important in order guide you throughout your online business.

  2. One thing you have to say about Russell Brunson is that he is a busy man. He never sits back and relies on just one source of income which is admirable.
However he doesn’t seem to have one specific program or product that stands out as groundbreaking or without controversy.

    • Have you already tired any of his products? Actually, I also heard that most of the programs he promotes has downsides and limitations. I hope that he can work to improve all of them.

  3. Greetings John,

Credit to you for sharing your passion to us which is reviewing internet marketing and business courses. Talk about upsells which DotComSecrets do, are there many others programs that implement the same approach such as this? I wonder if this sort of method would stop at some point because a lot of people has experienced in not succeeding the goals and targets they want. More so as reviewers like you have emphasize what upsell can lead to.

    • Personally, I don’t like upsells but it still can be useful depending on how you use it. As for your question, having upsells is normal to almost all online marketing programs and we can’t do anything about it. So what we can do is just take time to analyze these upsells, and determine if it can help us attain our goals or just cost us more money.

  4. I’ve actually read Russel Brunsons book ‘DotCom Secrets’ and even though he does offer some good tips and advice, I still ahd a bad feeling about him. Like his tactics a little bit fishy.

Now I’m assuming he’s actually done nothing wrong and its just me, but still this is the only time I’ve felt this way about an author.

And now that I’ve read your review I know just to stay away. I think I’m just gonna stick with weathly affiliate.

    Thanks for the good insight,
    Lyle

    • DotComSecrets offers some okay programs that you can use to learn. However, what I don’t like about it is the upsells they are offering. I know that most online programs do this marketing strategy but I believe that if they really believe in the system, they should give the original price so as the people who wants to join can decide immediately. In this way, you will save time on whether to continue in this program or not.
