Overview

Company Name: H2O at Home

Owner: Guillaume Leymonerie

Price to Join: $99 Starter Kit

My Rating: 7.6 out of 10.0

H20 at Home is a  multi level marketing company that was founded in France on 1997 by Guillaume Leymonerie. The company offers products that are useful in cleaning, personal care and home care.

The products of the company are eco-friendly and in this polluted world, having eco-friendly products are a big advantage.

In 2009, the company came to the U.S. and they claim to be responsible towards our planet, communities and each other.

In this review I will focus only on the business opportunity and I will ignore the products for now. I am not related to the company and this review is completely unbiased. I suggest that you read each and every word before thinking about joining this company.

How Does H2O at Home Work?

Now let us take a look at the different ways of earning money from the compensation plan of this company.

Ways of Earning

  • Retail Sales
  • Central Team Bonus
  • Generation Group Leader Bonus

You have to complete all the formalities like joining the company and buying the kit so that you can start your career as a H2O Advisor.

An Advisor must have a minimum of $400 in PSV by day 60 of his/her signing up before you can be considered active. You must also have $500 in PSV during the following quarter and every quarter after that to remain active.

It is important that you achieve active status if you want to earn more money through a variety of methods.

Retail Sales

You can earn 25% commission on your retail sales and you can earn additional Personal Sales Volume Bonus.

Personal Sales Volume Bonus is paid in the range of 3-15%, depending on your position in the organization.

Central Team Bonus

You can also earn money from the sales of your team if you are able to qualify for higher positions in the organization. The performance requirements must be met for two consecutive months to qualify for Group Leader or above positions.

Only Group Leader and above positions can earn the Central Team Bonus which is 6%.

Generation Group Leader Bonus

These bonuses are only paid to higher positions. If you want to earn money from these bonuses, then you will have to qualify for Group Leader for earning the 1st Generation Group Leader Bonus and you will have to qualify for Senior Group Leader to earn the 2nd Generation Group Leader Bonus.

The 1st Generation Group Leader Bonus is 6% and the 2nd Generation Group Leader Bonus is 3%.

There are obviously other ways to earn such as Cash Bonus and Business Building Bonus.

I like the compensation plan as a whole and like most MLM companies, higher position holders have more earning opportunities than lower ones.

How Much Does It Cost to Join?

If you want to join in H2O at Home, it costs $99 for the Business kit and it is compulsory for everyone to buy the Business Kit if they want to be a part of this company.

I think that the price of the kit is not too much and it is affordable for most people.

How Much Can You Earn?

This is a very important question as most people join MLM companies to earn some serious money. The truth is that most people fail in this type of business.

And H2O at Home is not at all different from other MLM companies in this regard. This company has a nice product line, but still the products are not easy to sell.

The part that I hate is that you have to meet certain requirements to be considered active. And it is not at all easy to achieve an active status in this company.

What is the H2O at Home

You would have to be great in marketing and selling the product and if there is already a well-established Advisor in your area, then your problems will be even more.

You will also have to know how to recruit and lead people, which is not at all easy. Those who fail at building a great team might not last in the long run.

If you know about selling the product, leading and building the team, then you can hope to earn more than a $1000 per month, but there is no guarantee that you will make this kind of money.

Are There Any Complaints?

Yes, I noticed some complaints and they are listed below.

PRODUCTS ARE HARD TO SELL

Although the products they offer is somehow convincing, it is still hard to sell because there are plenty of cheaper alternatives that you can buy in the local market. And this makes it harder for you to make a sale.

BUSINESS IS HARD TO MAINTAIN

If you are into MLM business then this is the one for you, but then as what I always say, this is not applicable for everyone. You ought to have great selling and convincing skills in order to be successful in this business. The company is a great place to get experience, but it is not good enough to stay.

Bottom Line

H2O at Home is not a scam and if someone says that it is a scam, then they are either joking or lying for their personal benefit.

This company has been around since 1997 and I do not know how a scam can survive this long. However, with the reasons I have explained above, I still cannot recommend this company.

The pay is not good enough and sometimes you may not earn anything at all. The company has placed some conditions for being considered active and they may affect your income in a bad way.

So if you value your time, then you should think several times before investing your hard earned money.

Pros

  • Teaches entrepreneurial skills
  • Good earning potential if done right

Cons

  • Climb the ranks to earn more
  • Building a strong team is a challenge
  • Support can be developed

How Can You Earn Money Online?

It seems like you want to join and invest in H2O at Home MLM business because you are hoping that it can give you an extra income to pay for your expenses and bills. It also feels that you are eager to find a legit way to increase your income and help you in your financial needs.

Actually, I was also in the same situation as yours before. I thought that MLM business is the answer to my financial problems. But I realized that it is not that easy. I also got discouraged about it because even though they give tips and advices, it still depends on your personal action.

Now, your next question is, how can you really make money? My best suggestion would be through making your own online business.

Basically it is a modern way of earning at home. Did you know that Amazon is the biggest affiliate business online? They earn commissions from promoting other people’s products. They don’t own any product but they are making money from them.

Right now, I am on my third year in this program and I am already enjoying the fruits of my labor. So, I want to share my success with you.

  1. Hi John!

Great review! I havent’ heard of H2O at Home before, but now I don’t want to even try it . When I first read it was an MLM, I already knew I wouldn’t like this. I know MLM are not always pyramid schemes, but still I think there are not very different and it is most of the times very difficult to earn some money.

Even though it seems like the price to join is affordable, there are better options online for a better price, so I wouldn’t spend any money on this company.

    Best,

    Mariana

    1. H2o at home is not a scam. It still offers some helpful ways on how you can earn from their compensation plan. But just like what you have said, this type of platform is not the best option for everyone. So you should think several times before investing in MLM type of business.

  2. You have some good parts of this article, as comments show. However H2O at Home is NOT an MLM. It’s party plan Direct Sales- social selling. MLM’s require monthly orders and auto-ships. H2O at Home you can be a customer and purchase retail, host a party for discounts and free products, or join this business IF it’s the right fit for you. One of the coolest things is they don’t saturate their market and let everyone and anyone sign up, and that’s amazing.

  3. Thank you for the unbiased review. I recently signed on with H2O at home and became active on day 3. I have orders coming in left and right. The support from upline is amazing and the business tools and training provided are also incredible. The bottom line though is that the products work better than traditional chemical cleaning products (and better than the less expensive, lower quality versions you can buy elsewhere), in the long run they save a lot of time and money, make your home, family and environment healthier. As you stated in order to be successful one must be passionate about the products and believe in their value. You made an excellent point that it would be more difficult to succeed if there is an established adviser in your area. I am the only Adviser in a 30 mile radius of my area.

  4. Thank you for this review! You are absolutely right about if you’re passionate about the products then it could be a good fit for you, because I am proof of this!!! I promoted out to group leader after only 5 months, I earned an all expense paid trip to Cancun within 7 months of joining, and I make a steady $1,000-$1,200/month working VERY part time (about 1 party a week)
My smallest monthly earnings were $409.93, and that was when I first began. The company itself is amazing to work for, treating their advisors like family (the founder and CEO go out of their way to get to know everyone!).
DSAs are not for everyone, but if you have the drive, you most definitely can be successful ! Thanks again for the unbiased review!

  5. Thanks for the review. I like to keep an eye on all the different potential businesses out there a person can word from home, or out of their home. There are more than even in this day and age. MLMs are everywhere, and there seems to be one out there for most anybody.

As you say H2O At Home is not a scam, which is good, because there are probably more scams out there than there are legitimate opportunities – but even though this one is not a scam, it seems like it could be a tough business to work. I can see why you would say the product seems hard to sell, and the business because of that would be hard to maintain.

I like your recommended pick. Wealthy Affiliate. Sounds much better.

    1. H2o at home offers some good earning potential but I must say that it is not for everyone. If you are passionate about the products that they offer, then this is the business for you. On the other hand, if you feel that you have no interest in it, then you should find something else. In this way, you will not waste your time in something that you don’t love doing.

  6. I must say that I have never heard of the company H2O at home. From what you have written here, it appears to be your basic MLM company which basically has the same requirements to earn income. I am not familiar with the company so there isn’t much that I can say about it. After reading this every thing seems legit. I would like to know a little more about the product line. Could you possibly share that?

    1. Basically, their product line is focused on cleaning, personal care and home care. It is not that unique though because plenty of MLM companies offer the same products. Nevertheless, they are still of high quality that you can take advantage of.

    2. Hi Taq’uee! If you are interested in learning about the products H2O has to offer I would be happy to assist you! NO PRESSURE to buy, ever. Just information as requested and maybe some samples shipped to you, if you so choose.

    3. Actually, H2O at Home is NOT an MLM. MLM’s require monthly auto-ship customers, and multiple levels of workers working under and above each sales rep. With H2O, a DIRECT SALES company, you’re literally the door to foo salesman of yesteryear: only making money when product is sold. The company is backed by associations that guarantee the customer can’t be scammed by the program.

The product ARE unique because they are toxin-free and eco friendly. The company hates waste and strives to produce quality products that don’t require constant replacement. It’s great to have clean showers, clean oven doors, and more without buying single use products like paper towels anymore, and no breathing or absorbing toxins while you scrub! The product line is very unique.

      1. Yes! I completely agree. I’ve never come across products like these, that work as well as these! I came across the company on my own this past summer and tried a couple of the products and was blown away by what I could clean with them – things I thought were ruined and couldn’t be cleaned – were easily cleaned with some of their high quality microfiber cloths and water (Hello, All Purpose Glove!) , or their all-natural Cleaning Clay. I hosted my first party in November and just joined the company as an Independent Advisor in December because I could not stop being amazed by these products and I had to start sharing them with people. I LOVE taking Before & After Photos and doing demo videos bc it’s the type of thing you have to see to believe. Everyone I’ve shared the products with so far are completely blown away as well, asking “What IS this magic?!” And “WHERE has this been all my life?!” etc. I don’t think testimonies like that imply it’s a type of company offering the same things as a lot of other companies. If anyone wants to see any of the before and afters or demos that I mentioned you are welcome to search my Facebook group: Morgan Rhoades, H2O at Home Independent Advisor – absolutely NO pressure to buy or anything whatsoever. You can also search hashtags on Facebook and Instagram, like #h2oathome #h2oathomeallpurposeglove #h2oathomecleaningclay and that should populate some other results without going to my personal page, if you prefer! Definitely a company and products worth checking out if you ever have to clean anything!
