what is the herbalife scam

Are you also asking, what is the Herbalife Scam? Do you wonder if it can be a worth it business to join to? To have a better understanding about it, read first my in depth Herbalife review.

what is the Herbalife?

Herbalife is a company that has been around for more than 35 years as it was founded in the year 1980. Mark Hughes is the guy who founded this company and maybe he would not have imagined at that time that this company would be so successful and last for all these years. Herbalife offers products in the categories of nutrition, weight management and personal care and this company is currently operating in over 90 countries. The variety of products that are offered by Herbalife is huge. If you want to know about this company and whether it is a scam or not then you should read my review.

how does Herbalife works?

First of all you have to join the company and you can do so through their official website. When you become a distributor then you can earn by using one of the following ways.

Retail Profit- You can earn by selling the products directly to the customers. You can earn 25 percent to 50 percent Retail Profit by buying the products at a wholesale price and selling it at the retail price. You get the wholesale discount on the Earn Base which is the value assigned to a product in local currency.

Wholesale profit/ Commission- Wholesale Profit is simply the difference between the discounted price you pay and the discounted price paid by your downline. Let me explain it to you. Suppose you are a Supervisor then the price paid by you will have 50 percent discount and the price paid by the Producer who is below you will have 42 percent discount. In this case your Wholesale profit will be 8 percent (50-42=8).

Others- There are some other ways to earn such as Promotions, Annual Mark Hughes Bonus, Vacation Promotions and some others. You can earn all these when you become a Supervisor or reach a level beyond Supervisor. You just have to meet the qualifications and then you can become a Supervisor.

how much does it cost to join?

It costs 59.99 dollars to join this company. You already know that once you reach the Supervisor level then you can easily earn a commission of 50 percent on your retail sales. I think the cost of kit is low and fair taking into account the commission and compensation plan of Herbalife. The price of kit is fair but I am not saying that you should join this company and the reasons for not joining will be cleared in the Conclusion part of this review.

how much can I earn?

There are some people who have made millions using these opportunity but unfortunately the numbers of these people is not so high and is in fact very low. The majority of Herbalife consultants either earn very low income or they do not make any income at all. I know it is hard to digest specially after reading their compensation plan which is very good but I am not lying and I have no reason to lie to you. Herbalife has been accused of being a pyramid scheme and some people claim that the majority of Herbalife consultants make money by recruiting others and not by selling the products to the actual customers. These claims are serious in nature and may shake up the interest of people in this company. It has not been proved that Herbalife is a pyramid scheme but it has not been disapproved fully either. So realistically and honestly your chances of earning the kind of money that you want to earn from this company are not looking so good.

are there any complaints?

Yes, there are some complaints and let us take a look at them.

There are some people who say that products do not work and file complaints against the company. I personally am not sure about the products because they work for most people but not for everyone.

Some people have experienced adverse effects from using the products. One can easily find many complaints about adverse effects of the products online.

Herbalife faces the biggest nightmare of any MLM company and that is being called a pyramid scheme and these schemes are illegal in every country that I know about. Pyramid scheme is a company in which the distributors earn majority of the income from recruiting others and not by selling the products from the actual customers.

conclusion

Herbalife is not a scam and despite of the claims that this is a pyramid scheme I do not think that this company is one. This company has been around for a long time and operates in various countries so I have to disagree that this company is pyramid scheme as most people still trust this company. I do not recommend joining this company because there are other better alternatives available for you like starting your own business. Starting your own business is a great option and you will earn all the profit in that case. Good luck and choose wisely.

recommendation

I know that you want to join in Herbalife MLM business because you are hoping that it could help you earn extra income to pay for your expenses and bills. Unfortunately, this is not the answer to your problem.

Actually, I was also in the same situation as yours before. I thought that MLM business will help me with paying my debts. But I was wrong. I just spent money and didn’t get anything in return.

On the other hand, I didn’t regret joining in one, because I was able to learn about Wealthy Affiliate. It is a training program that teaches people on how to build their own online business. I was hesitant to join a first, but then I realized that I have nothing to lose because it is just free to join.

Right now, I am on my sixth month, and I want to share my success with you. Let me end this review with one question.

Why spend so much in MLM, If you Can Start your Own Online Business for Free?

Check out my review on the #1 recommended training program.

  1. Hi John,

I am surprised that HerbaLife is called to be an MLM company, for some reason I thought that it is more of an affiliate marketing.

I never considered to be a scam as I know a very popular Russian internet businessman who orders nutritional stuff from there and he personally recommended a couple of HerbaLife products. He’s well-known and a respected figure in the Russian internet business, so that’s why I always thought this company is legit.

Never tried their products myself and never heard of the adverse impact of using their product but if I ever decide to order from there, I will be careful to review the product first.

    Thank you for this information.

    1. Herbal life has been known for several years. They provide good quality products that are consumed by various people. but sings it is a MLM company, there are still downside for this company. I must say that this kind of business is not for everyone. You have to have Patience and passion in promoting the products that they offer . So I suggest that you Think several times
