What is the Life Matters?

Life Matters is a multi-level marketing company that sells health supplements. Before, the company was known as Life Shotz, but now its name has changed to Life Matters. It was recently acquired by Young Living Essential Oils.

The company offers a variety of products like Life Shotz, Vibe, Mind and Motion, They say that it offer different benefits like improved brain performance. You have to keep in mind that there is no strong scientific evidence that the products work. By the way, the owners of this company are Richard and Kimmy Brooke.

In this review, I will take a closer look at this company and try to determine whether this is a scam or not. This is based on my honest research about it. I recommend that you read the entire review before thinking about investing your money.

How Does Life Matters Work?

Honestly, I could not find the detailed compensation plan on their website. However, I found a copy of it by researching on the internet. So let us take a look at the ways of making money.

Customer Bonuses: Your customers will be ranked by sales and you will earn 5% bonus on your first 4 customers and 30% bonus on your customers after the first 4. You will have to make sure that you are an Active Brand Rep by having $100 auto order or $185 individual sales to earn this bonus.

Retail Profit: You will have to be active to earn from your retail sales and the requirements are the same as for earning customer bonuses. You will earn up to 28% on your retail sales.

The profit percentage from the retail sales is not that good because there are companies that pay 40% or higher profit on retail sales.

Star Bonuses: There are different star bonuses like 2 star bonus and 3 star bonus that are paid monthly. There are different requirements for each of the star bonuses and I have listed them and the amount that they pay below.

2 Star Bonus: $50

3 Star Bonus: $100 and free product

4 Star Bonus: $200 and free product

5 Star Bonus: $400 and free product

Unilevel Bonus And Leadership Bonus: You will earn unilevel and infinity bonuses on the depth of your business. You will start earning the unilevel bonuses after reaching the 4 Star rank or above.

There are other ways of making money through the compensation plan, but I think that you already got the basic idea about the compensation plan. The plan looks simple in the beginning, but it gets complicated as you move on.

Higher ranks are very hard to achieve because of the requirements related to your personal sales, team sales, etc.

For example, the Platinum rank requires you to have a total sales of $50k or more, which also includes your team sales. There are other requirements for qualifying for the Platinum rank, but this is just to give you an idea of the difficulty that you will face to qualify for them.

You will not qualify for the higher ranks if your team is not good enough. I don’t like the fact that you will have to depend on others for your success.

You will have to focus on your team because the compensation plan is more rewarding for those who have a great team. It also have some good bonuses, but it is not going to be easy to make money through it.

How Much Does It Cost to Join?

I could not find the cost of joining on their website as there was no option to join as a Brand Rep. Maybe they are not recruiting additional Brand Reps at the moment.

Anyway, you will have to most likely buy a starter kit to join and it may cost you quite a bit of money. You may also have to buy products monthly to stay active and keep earning the bonuses.

How Much Can I Earn?

I could not find an Income Disclosure Statement online, which is disappointing because this company has existed for many years. The fact remains that more than 95% of people fail in multi-level marketing companies and I haven’t seen any proof that this company is going to be any different.

The products that they offer are limited in number and they are in a competitive niche. I don’t think that it would be easy to sell the products.

After a while you will start struggling with selling as you run out of friends and family. You can sell the products to strangers, but it is not going to be easy for someone who has no experience.

Managing and building your team will also be difficult for most people. I don’t think that you will most likely make a full-time income by joining this company.

Are there Any Complaints?

Yes, and I have listed some of the major concerns below.

Most people fail in MLM companies.

The products are hard to sell.

Bottom Line

In my opinion, Life Matters is not a scam. This company existed for almost 7 years and there is no evidence that this is a scam.

On the other hand, I don’t think that newbies can have a smooth journey in this type of business without any support and guidance. If you are very experienced in selling and recruiting and you also like the products, then you may succeed. Nevertheless, I still leave the final decision in your hands. Good luck and choose wisely.

Pros

  • Great earning potential if done right
  • Teaches entrepreneurial skills

Cons

  • Compensation Plan can be explained better
  • Support can be improved
  • Climb the ranks for better commission

I feel that you want to invest in Life Matters because you want to have your own source of income. And you see the potential of this kind of business.

But let me tell you that this is not that easy. It requires great support and guidance in order to succeed.

On the other hand, if you are still looking for an effective way of earning, then you can also look into my personal choice. My best suggestion would be through making your own online business with a support from community. Basically it is a modern way of making money. And this will enable you to enjoy your working time at home.

Right now, I am on my second year in this community and I am already harvesting the fruits of my labor. So, I want to share my success with you.

One comment on “What is the Life Matters? Is It A MLM Scam?

  1. Hey John,

Your review of Life Matters leads me to believe that I would need to spend a diligent amount of effort digging for important facts that might play a key role in my decision making. As a rule, I distrust online business opportunities that are less than up front about key facts concerning their offering.

Plus, I agree with you that their commission rate is lower than many competitive opportunities.

    Thanks for the review,
    Harry
