My Rating: 6.9 out of 10.0

What is the Lifeplus?

Lifeplus is a multi-level marketing company that was founded in the year 1993 by Bob Lemon and several other people. This company sells products in the nutritional supplements and personal care niche. They offer plenty of products and it would not be a challenge to find customers who can use them.

This company has been around for many years and it is not easy to stay around for that long. The company only offered nutritional supplements at the beginning and personal care products were added recently.

In this third-party review, I will take a closer look at this company and try to determine whether this is a scam or not. This is based on my honest research about it. I recommend that you read the entire review before thinking about joining this company.

How Does Lifeplus MLM Work?

Lifeplus is a global company and therefore they have decided to use International Points instead of the currencies of different countries to calculate bonuses. Each product of this company has a sales price and International Points (IP) value. After your bonus is determined, the International Points will be converted into the currency of your country and paid to you.

There are many ways to make money through the compensation plan and I will try to explain some of them.

You can earn referral bonuses for referring people to this company. It doesn’t matter if someone you refer is buying the product for personal use or if they have become partners like you.

There are two kinds of referrals and they are direct and indirect referrals. Direct referrals are those people that you have personally sponsored and indirect referrals are those people that are sponsored by your direct referrals.

Direct referrals are part of your first level and indirect referrals are part of your second level.

More Information About Lifeplus…

If you have at least 40 IP PV (personal volume) in a month, then you will earn 25% of the total IP value of your direct referrals. You will also earn 10% on the total IP value of your second level if you qualify.

The qualification for the first and the second level are the same (40 IP PV). There is a third level that includes the direct referrals of your second level and you can earn 5% on the total IP value of your third level if you qualify. For qualifying you need to have 40 IP PV and 3 people that also purchase 40 IP PV on your first level.

Leadership bonus is also available for those who qualify for Bronze or higher ranks, but it is much harder to understand than the referral bonus.

It depends on your IP PV, IP GV (group volume) and active legs. Once you meet all the qualifications, you can earn 3%-12% of the IP of each partner from your fourth level down.

You can make money through dynamic compression. In simple words, the people that do not stay active will not get their bonuses and their bonuses will be paid to the next active partner. You can also make money through monthly pool bonus. This bonus is divided into those that qualify and it contains 1% of the sales of the company.

You have to sponsor three or more partners in a calendar month and also make sure that your existing partners are active to qualify for this bonus.

I don’t like the compensation plan even though it can make some people a lot of money. The problem is that the compensation plan has placed too much emphasis on recruiting.

How Much Does It Cost to Join?

I could not find the cost of joining on their official website. But you will have to maintain 40 IP PV to remain active and then there are other requirements as well.

So you will have to spend money monthly if you want to remain active even if there is no cost of joining. I doubt that they will let you join for free and there might be some small initial costs involved.

How Much Can I Earn?

This company has been around for more than 20 years and still I could not find an Income Disclosure Statement that has been published by them. Even though I haven’t seen any actual figures, I am quite sure that most people will fail in this company. I think that most people will fail in this company because this is true for almost any multi-level marketing company out there.

The compensation plan will only pay you when you are active and keep making purchases from time to time.

The issue is that you will not advance without recruiting people who also do the same to build your downline. If you aren’t good at recruiting, then you will have a hard time making money for sure.

So I think that most people will not make a good income through this company, especially if they aren’t good at recruiting. On the other hand, it is still possible to be successful in this type of business.

Are there Any Complaints?

Yes, I have listed some of the major concerns below.

The company suffers from poor management.

It is hard to advance in the ranks.

Bottom Line

In my opinion, Lifeplus is not a scam because if it was not real, it would not have lasted for so many years. It also offer some helpful information on how you can start your own business.

However, we can’t deny the fact that it will not be easy. The compensation plan can be improved by shifting the emphasis from recruiting to selling the products. Nevertheless, I still leave the final decision in your hands. Good luck and choose wisely.

Pros

  • Teaches Entrepreneurial Skills
  • Great Earning Potential

Cons

  • Maintain Recruits and Sales to Earn Commissions
  • Overwhelming for beginners
  • Support can be improved

I know that you are eager to try Lifeplus because you want to have an extra source of income. I also feel that you are already tired of your day time job.

But let me tell you that this kind of business is not that easy. It requires patience and hard work in order to succeed.

Now, your next question is, is there other way to make money at home? My best suggestion would be through making your own online business with a support from community. Basically it is a modern way of making money. And this will enable you to enjoy your working time at home.

Right now, I am on my second year in this community and I am already enjoying the fruits of my labor. So, I want to share my success with you.

  1. Like you say, this company can not be scam if they have been around since 1993. They must really have anticipated the future of internet marketing back then.
I don’t think that MLM program is the best way of making money for most people. The compensation plan looks really complicated compared to affiliate marketing where you refer a sale and get x commission for it. MLM are best for those at the very top of the list, they will make great money, others will struggle.
I like your no 1 recommendation though. Wealthy Affiliate would be a great choice for most people.
    Thanks for a good post.

    • Sure no problem. Actually, MLM is different from affiliate marketing. Both of them differ from the ways of earning. So it just depends on what you want to venture in. The important thing is that you like what you are doing.
